Wyless Awarded Contract by Onset Computer Corporation

Wyless has entered an agreement with Onset Computer Corporation, the world leader in data logger solutions, to provide Wyless Managed Services together with Wyless SIMs for the HOBO Remote Monitoring System, Onset’s new GPRS-enabled cell-based product. Wyless will become Onset’s primary supplier of SIMs and data network services. The Wyless Network and Managed Services will allow Onset to provide its customers with robust network coverage across the globe, and future cost savings, resulting from planned tailored usage plans.

Onset Computer Corporation produces “HOBO” data loggers that measure and record temperature, humidity, light, energy, and a variety of other parameters. Onset data loggers are used in many diverse scenarios, from enabling more energy-efficient buildings to measuring humidity levels to preserve Marilyn Monroe’s famous white “subway” dress, worth $2.2 million. Building on Onset’s install base of one million loggers, the latest addition – the HOBO Remote Monitoring System – delivers high accuracy measurements even in harsh environmental conditions. This new product will leverage the Wyless Network, allowing the reliable communication of mission-critical data.

Wyless provided technical support and expertise for the HOBO Remote Monitoring System, from, the prototype stage through final production to make deployment quicker and easier. Moving forward, Wyless will continue to work with Onset to help develop and maximise their offering, including provision of a wide variety of usage plans for improved efficiencies and cost-savings, for both Onset and their 50,000 customers.

The agreement delivers worldwide wireless data connectivity using just one supplier, one contract and one SIM, enabling Onset to smoothly extend their offering into Europe and Asia to support their customers’ International needs.
