EnergyICT is a world-leading provider of energy and meter data management solutions, with over 17 years of experience producing quality hardware and software to measure, log, transmit and store data from multiple sites and in various sectors; from railway and industrial companies to retail and commercial businesses.
EnergyICT’s customers use a WebRTU® data logger for remote meter reading, which allows for the collection of timely and accurate energy consumption data.
EnergyICT had previously worked with other wireless network suppliers but, wishing to retain a competitive advantage in the market, looked for a new provider to meet the growing needs of the company.
The company needed an experienced supplier that understood not only connectivity, but also logistics to provide large volumes of SIMs, within short timescale. The overall solution had to be cost effective and provide expertise through services.
Wyless SIM cards were deployed within the WebRTU data loggers and installed at customers’ sites, enabling automatic and remote monitoring of their energy consumption. Over and above robust cost-effective wireless connectivity, Wyless’ expertise in logistics and its service-based offering, reduced the complexities of trialling and installation, and provided a full added-value solution, allowing quick and easy roll out of the data loggers.
Once the WebRTU has collected the on-site data, the data is sent via GPRS to EnergyICT’s state-of-the-art EIServer® software platform, which is web-hosted and designed to collect, store and process energy consumption data for validation, estimation, editing, peak-shaving, forecasting, allocation, reconciliation and complex billing. Wyless’ flexible pricing model means that EnergyICT’s solution takes into account the data usage of its clients, saving money for both customers and EnergyICT alike.
Collecting accurate data provides customers with the information they need to start saving on energy consumption and reducing overall energy costs. EnergyICT was able to implement the solution with customers across Europe, the US and Australia, reducing costs and providing beneficial information about energy use.
The Wyless M2M solution provided the most competitive package overall, with key benefits for EnergyICT including seamless and hassle-free services, coupled with competitive pricing.
“We use a lot more SIMs in our products than ever before. This solution has helped us put one of our devices in every Asda and Tesco store in the UK, which is having a big impact on these organisations’ efforts to reduce their carbon footprint."
Stefan Grosjean, C.E.O. and founder of EnergyICT.
