Enabling AutoGuard to become #1 in vehicle telematics in Poland and the Baltic States

AutoGuard and Insurance Sp. z o.o. is a leading provider in Poland and The Baltic States of Products and Services for remote tracking, recovery and monitoring of vehicles using GPS and mobile Networks. They provide their customers in Fleet Management or private vehicles with 24 hour vehicle protection via the monitoring of alarm devices installed in the vehicle. These alarm devices are activated by detection of a vehicle break-in, vehicle leaving a designated area, anti-attack button and other defined parameters.

The alarm information and positioning data is continually sent to the AutoGuard Monitoring Centre (AMC). The AMC works closely with leading Security companies using their local intervention services. In case of vehicle theft the AMC sends information to the Security Company and informs the Police. This movement information includes positioning, speed and direction of the vehicle. The AMC can also stop the fuel feed in the vehicle when asked to do so by the Security Company or Police. The Services offered also include cooperation with medical or emergency road services.

AutoGuard and Insurance Sp. z o.o. were looking for a Network Partner who could meet their technical requirements now and in the future and additionally could support their business objectives. It was also an important requirement that the solution would be easy to implement and deploy without the need for a complex infrastructure and would work across Europe.

Wyless meet all those criteria. The Wyless Network offering provides a Fixed IP address per vehicle that enables true two-way communication with the AMC and customers control centre. The Wyless back-office network management suite is providing advanced support that utilises real-time management of the SIM in the AutoGuard devices on-board each vehicle. The Wyless Network enables the AutoGuard Products and Services to roam seamlessly across Europe using multiple mobile operators networks. All of these advanced network capabilities were provided to AutoGuard with no need for additional software, middleware or hardware; enabling them to focus on their business opportunities.
